The first snowfall in Chicago officially hit late Monday night and that means it’s time for hot cocoa, pie, and soup – wrong! You know what I am craving? Barbeque – a completely misunderstood cuisine. While this meaty decadence is usually associated with a summer grill-out party on a patio, I think people are missing the bigger picture. What warms the soul and the stomach more on a cold winter’s day than a heaping slab of ribs? Nothing.
Now is a better time than ever to satisfy our barbeque-deprived taste buds because Monday, November 19th, Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Bar-b-que will open its first ever fast casual dining location.
John Gilbert, chief executive officer at Famous Dave’s of America cheerfully reports,
“This is our eighth company-owned restaurant in the state as we further leverage our brand with a range of store designs, each created to match a specific customer opportunity. We’re not selling fast food, we’re selling slow cooked, made-from-scratch, award winning food. We just know our customers want it quickly and that’s what we do; slow cooked food for those in a hurry.”
Famous Dave’s is looking forward to offering the same quality handcrafted smoked meats customers have come to expect.
What are we waiting for? Be sure to stop by their new location, located at 2855 West 95th Street in Evergreen Park next week! I will (inevitably) see you there.
