Having lived in the city for almost 4 years now, you’d think I’d have already hit all the top Chicago tourist destinations and taken advantage of the many fun activities the city has to offer. Unfortunately, other than checking off the Sears (Willis?) Tower Skydeck and the Signature Room from my list, I am still slacking on the completion of my “Chicago Bucket List.”
Though I’m no master in the kitchen, one of the top things on my to-do list has been taking a cooking or baking class at one of my favorite Chicago eateries. As of this month, I can finally say that I have done this – and plan to do it again!
I decided to go with the Bread Basics class at Baker & Nosh in Lakeview and was not disappointed. The class was 3 hours long on a Monday night and cost $75.00 – well worth it in my opinion. The instructor was fun and the bread was delicious. Having only a few other people in the class made it intimate and low stress, especially for someone like myself who is far from being a skilled baker.
